I came across this via http://del.icio.us/popular/ today, and thought it was worth a mention:

It appears that this would be trivial not only to script (everything from screen-scraping the content to buying the domain name can be automated), but to improve upon.

Some ideas off the top of my head:

• Mine potential keywords from Google Trends
• Scrape results from several search engines, not just Google, and aggregate them
• Pull RSS feeds from related blogs and publish them
• Collect aggregate data across many MFA sites, and derive ways to improve clickthrough rates (ad postion, frequency, number of “true content” elements on the page, etc etc. Have the system automatically migrate sites onto templates with better clickthourhg rates
• Use alternative text-ad campaigns, which presumably have fewer safeguards in place
